What Is It: Looking a bit like a metal maze, this clever baking pan by Baker's Edge is specially designed for people who prefer brownie edge pieces over middles. The interior has three dividers or ridges that create more edge area. When you cut the bars, every piece has two baked edges. Besides brownies, it's great for baking bars, cornbread, cake, cobbler, and more.

What We Like:

--Size accommodates standard mixes and baking recipes.

--Brownies bake in the usual time with no greasing required.

--Results in even-sized brownies for good portion control, each with two edges.

--Large sides for easy grabbing from the oven.

--Nonstick finish and rounded edges make for easy removal of brownies and cleaning.

Tips:

--Add batter carefully to avoid dribbling onto dividers. Wipe spills with a wet paper towel.

--Patience required! To be sure the bars hold their shape, wait until the baked brownies have cooled thoroughly before cutting and removing them.

--Use the special spatula to cut and remove brownies from the pan. Sharp knives will ruin the nonstick coating.

--Hand wash. Do not put in a dishwasher.

--Won't nest with other baking pans for storage

Details: USA-made of heavy-gauge aluminum with nonstick coating, The Edge Pan by Baker's Edge measures 12x9 inches and can accommodate any box mixes and recipes that call for 9-inch square or 13x9 pans. The nonstick coating is silicone-based (no Teflon or PFOA) and is inert up to temperatures exceeding 500 degrees F. This coating works well for foods high in sugar. Comes with a custom-made nylon spatula for removing bars; the spatula's rounded edges will not mar the coating. Hand wash. Suggested retail is $35.
